Jiangshan City Textile and Apparel Industry Association Established, Uplifting the Industry Landscape

On the morning of September 21, the inaugural meeting and first general assembly of the Jiangshan City Textile and Apparel Industry Association were held. Wang Liyun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and head of the Publicity Department, attended the event. The meeting adopted the association’s articles of association and industry codes of conduct and elected Jiang Feng, director of Zhejiang Jiansheng Group Co., Ltd. and general manager of the Jiangshan base, as the association’s president. At present, the Jiangshan City Textile and Apparel Industry Association has 60 member units.

According to reports, after decades of development, Jiangshan City’s textile and apparel industry has established a relatively complete industrial chain, with 13 enterprises above designated size and several leading firms such as Jiansheng Group and Zhongxin Woolen Textile. Last year, the sector recorded a gross output value of RMB 1.275 billion and a profit of RMB 113 million, while providing employment for nearly 4,000 people.
Wang Liyun extended her congratulations on the establishment of the Textile and Apparel Industry Association. She stated that the textile and apparel industry is a traditional sector in Jiangshan City, with a long history of development and a pivotal role in the city’s industrial economic growth. She expressed the hope that, following its establishment, the association will strengthen institutional mechanisms and organizational leadership, seize opportunities, adopt a broader vision, foster unity and collaboration, and strive for significant achievements for the industry. She also urged relevant enterprises to focus on enhancing their internal capabilities, bolstering their self-sustaining capacity, continuously expanding production scale, and driving robust enterprise development. Furthermore, she called on relevant government departments and agencies to continue providing attentive, “shopkeeper-like” services, ensure precise matching of needs, and thereby promote the healthy and rapid growth of enterprises, working together to create a comprehensive framework for elevating Jiangshan’s textile and apparel industry.
The meeting adopted the Articles of Association and the Code of Conduct for the Textile and Apparel Industry Association, and elected Jiang Feng, Director of Zhejiang Jiansheng Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager of the Jiangshan Base, as the Association’s President. At present, the Jiangshan City Textile and Apparel Industry Association has 60 member units.
