Wanbao Company is a high-tech enterprise and a specialized, sophisticated, and innovative company that focuses on the R&D and production of accessories for imported textile machinery as well as compact spinning units for ring spinning machines. To further enhance its development and meet the growing demands of the textile machinery market, the company relocated in 2011 from Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, to Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, situated along the picturesque shores of Taihu Lake. The company is bordered to the east by the ancient Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, to the west by the Xiyi Expressway, and to the north by National Highway 312 and the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway. Jiangshan City Textile and Apparel Industry Association Established, Uplifting the Industry Landscape

On the morning of September 21, the inaugural meeting and first general assembly of the Jiangshan City Textile and Apparel Industry Association were held. Wang Liyun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and head of the Publicity Department, attended the event. The meeting adopted the association’s articles of association and industry codes of conduct and elected Jiang Feng, director of Zhejiang Jiansheng Group Co., Ltd. and general manager of the Jiangshan base, as the association’s president. At present, the Jiangshan City Textile and Apparel Industry Association has 60 member units.

Cultivating Regional Brands: Liaoning’s Textile and Apparel Industry Pursues Innovative Transformation

Against the backdrop of the Chinese textile and apparel industry’s deepening transformation and upgrading and its proactive implementation of structural adjustments, Liaoning Province’s textile and apparel sector is also seeking new avenues for development, innovation, and transformation, with several industrial clusters and leading enterprises steadily emerging. As reported yesterday at the Liaoning Provincial Textile and Apparel Conference and the “Responding to New Retail, Looking Ahead to a Bright Future—2017 Textile and Apparel Summit,” from 2016 to 2017, in order to actively support regions that possess comparative advantages, favorable conditions, and strong demand in developing specialized regional textile and apparel economies and to foster the formation of distinctive, advantage-driven agglomerations of textile and apparel industries across the province, the Liaoning Textile and Apparel Association organized relevant industry experts and scholars to carry out pilot projects for regional brands (industrial clusters) in textile and apparel cluster areas that met the application criteria. These efforts were guided by the principles of rigorous selection, prioritizing excellence, rational spatial planning, and a commitment to quality over quantity, with the aim of supporting the cultivation and development of emerging, distinctive regional brands.
